Te Wahi Ora Women’s Retreat – developed and run by women for over 25 years. A retreat created for all women who want to spend a few days or a few weeks at a beach resort at Auckland’s renowned west coast beach, Piha, where all meals and individual accommodation is provided to ensure total rest and the freedom to relax!
Rest / Relax / Rejuvenate As women we are often the carers and the ‘doers’ but sometimes we need time that is dedicated to us. Do you have a stressful job? Are you caring for someone and need respite? Have you been unwell? Is a relationship troubling you and you just need some time to yourself? Perhaps you are travelling New Zealand and want to experience the wonderful west coast of Auckland or hike in the Waitakere Ranges? Or maybe you and a friend are planning a ‘girls get-away’ weekend? Or it could simply be that you feel like getting out of the city, spending some time in the sea air and falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
When you stay at Te Wahi Ora Women’s Retreat you are encouraged to do as little as possible, or as much as you like. Sleep in till late or take a dawn stroll up the beach. Swim in the ocean, take walks in the bush, lie in the shade and read, or watch the sun set over the Tasman Sea. We take care of the housework and the preparation of all meals. Enjoy breakfast in your room, lunch in the garden and dinner by the fire; or in summer, overlooking the ocean. Our staff enjoy preparing fresh, delicious and nutritious food for you and can cater to most dietary requirements. When possible, organically grown vegetables and herbs are picked straight from our garden and all meat and eggs are organic and/or free range.
Te Wahi Ora has a variety of accommodation options ranging from our deluxe sea view suite, individual chalets or a groovy restored retro caravan. All linen, towels and bedding supplied. Please contact us to make a booking. We look forward to hearing from you.
Other extra services available: Counselling, Spiritual Direction, Bowen Treatment, Relaxing or Therapeutic massage. Te Wahi Ora can also be booked as a venue for birthday parties, staff planning weekends, group bookings or other special occasions.
Te Wahi Ora Women’s Retreat is a Charitable Trust and as such we also accept donations that are used to offer women in need subsidised accommodation.
